Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir Scholarship Program

Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church (SSPC) will provide $400 per semester choral music scholarships to college students who meet the following criteria:
1. Successfully complete an audition with the SSPC Director of Music;
2. Receive a favorable recommendation from the college choral music director;
3. Rehearse weekly with the SSPC Chancel Choir, and
4. Rehearse and sing with the Chancel Choir on Sunday mornings for the 11:00 worship service.
Students will be excused from rehearsal and Sunday morning worship when the college is closed for holidays and scheduled breaks (i.e., Fall, Spring) or the student is participating in a required college trip (i.e., chorus, sports).
Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church will send $400 per semester to the college where the student is enrolled.  The money will be credited to the student’s account.  The scholarship may be applied to tuition, college sponsored off-campus trips, books, room and board, and fees.
In the event that the student cannot fulfill the criteria listed above (1 – 4), the scholarship will be terminated.   The student will reimburse SSPC $100 per month for the remainder of the scholarship period.  The scholarship period is defined as four (4) months typically spanning late August through early December for the Fall semester, and mid January through early May for Spring.

I, _______________________________________________, a student at ________________ College, have read the criteria listed above, and agree to fulfill them as stated.
